About the Southeastern Indiana Baptist Association

Our Mission

The Southeastern Indiana Baptist Association is a group of local Southern Baptist Churches which voluntarily cooperate together to exalt Christ by equipping one another to fulfill  the Great Commission of Jesus Christ in Southern Indiana and the world

Our Core Values

Christ-exalting: As an association of churches, we exist to honor and glorify Jesus Christ in everything we do. (Colossians 3:17)

Biblically-grounded: As an association of churches, we exist to strengthen one another in our shared reliance on the Bible as our final authority in everything we believe and do. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Gospel-proclaiming: As an association of churches, we exist to strengthen one another to proclaim the gospel in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)

People-passionate: As an association of churches, we exist to strengthen one another in our love for God and people through meeting needs and promoting unity and reconciliation. (Isaiah 61:1-13)

Church-equipping: As an association of churches, we exist to equip one another to fulfill the Great Commission. (Ephesians 4:12-13)

Ministry-partnered: As an association of churches, we exist to partner with one another by providing the necessary resources in order to accomplish our shared mission. (2 Corinthians 9:10-15)

Missions-focused: As an association of churches, we exist to equip one another and partner with each other to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Our Vision for 2017-2020

In the next 5+ years we dream of seeing God work through SEIBA churches to increase the churched population of southeastern Indiana to 25% (from 20%) within 5 years beginning in 2018.
